We are pleased to announce that Wayne, a highly regarded professional artist and former local tutor who has recently relocated to Wales, will be hosting an upcoming workshop for the Society. As many of you know, Wayne's workshops are exceptionally popular, and we are thrilled to have him back to share his expertise.
This workshop is scheduled to follow his live demonstration for the Society, which will take place on Thursday, 10th September.
Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring you own mug and lunch.

Materials required:
Colour palette Wayne will be using: (Art Society oIl paint will be available to use):
• (French) Ultramarine Blue
• Phthalo Blue (sometimes called ‘Windsor Blue - Green Shade’)
• Permanent Rose or Quinacridone Rose
• Burnt Sienna
• Yellow Ochre
• Lemon Yellow
• Titanium White (not Zinc, ‘mixing white’, etc)
Surface to paint on; Large-ish canvas, canvas-board or Winton Oil Painting Paper:.
A Palette for mixing paint on and 2 Palette Knives.
Hog Hair Brushes: Large Flats at least 25mm upwards.
Studio safe solvent, such as ‘Zest-it’ - Strictly NO TURPENTINE.
W&N Liquin Original.
(Solvent and Liquin available to use).
2 x jars/‘kettles’, such as Jam-Jar, to hold solvent and mediums - must be large enough to wash brushes in.
Paint rags.
Charcoal and regular BIC/ballpoint pen (not gel pen) , paper or sketchbook for drawing/sketching.
We also have a small selection of brushes but bring some of your own if you have any. You are welcome to bring your own paints too.
There are plenty of easels and drawing boards at the studio.
